A Review Of Latuza
I own 6 pairs of Latuza bamboo clothing, bought over the last 2 years. I have petite small in the pajamas with no pockets, small in the cuff/jogger version, small in the lounge versions with pockets, and small in the shorts (all on Amazon). I find the sizing to be accurate for all the different types of bottoms. I have some tops too, and they fit to size as well. I tend to wear cotton t-shirts instead of the shirts, but I can speak to the quality and sizing of them (as good as the pants). About two years ago, I became VERY sensitive to materials, due to worsening fibro. I’ve always been slightly sensitive to tags, and wore all cotton, until the skin on my legs stopped tolerating any material I owned, including cotton. I read about the properties of bamboo, so I searched Amazon for bamboo clothing and socks (SIDE NOTE ON BAMBOO SOCKS: I order Serisimple socks, also from Amazon. I haven’t tried any of the other brands here, because their adult mediums fit my size 5.5 perfectly. They’re thin, but the only socks that don’t itch, so I wear them year round. I have them in all lengths available.)
My stats are: 4’11, 97 lbs, round bum and smaller waist. I’m generally an xs in bottoms. Both the petite small and small fit perfectly (petite is the same size, just shorter, as far as I can tell). There is a LOT of stretch in these, and the waist can be tightened with the drawstrings, so I think they’d fit anywhere from an xxs to a large small. I don’t wear them when I venture into the outside world, but I wear them as house pants and pajamas (sometimes i switch from the pajama to the lounge version to feel fancy during the day), and only reluctantly switch them out for sweatpants when it’s very cold. I’m also sensitive to heat, and I’m a hot sleeper (go figure), and these keep me cool at night. The instructions say not to put them in the dryer, but I wash them and hang dry once, and then put them in the dryer on medium heat. I’ve had some pairs for two years, and it’s hard to tell them apart from the brand new ones. I have one pair or Wiwi jogger pants (also on Amazon), and they’re equally as comfortable, but more expensive. Latuza does go on sale, so I just wait until that happens, and buy a few. I have a cat and the black does gather some hair, so I prefer the gray and navy blue. Lastly, these are the softest clothing ever, including the older ones. They really don’t get nubby or look worn out, at least within 2 years. I also got my 75 year old dude roommate hooked on these, so we VIP around in our Lazutas 10 months of the year. GET THEM!!
